On October 25 I posted the blog "NPR vs. Juan Williams: Who is politically Co-Wrecked?" and have had many comments from both sides. Many have voiced praise and many have chastised me for various reasons. The fact of the matter is that co-existence with the nation of Islam is a very volatile issue and the more we know, the better off we are.
With all due respect to Monty Python; health-care in America is waiting to learn if Doctor Obama's diagnosis that we need open-heart surgery at a cost of trillions of dollars was a misdiagnosis. According to U.S. District Judge Henry Hudson; the Doctor was holding the X-ray upside-down. Allow me to elaborate:
The 2009 Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) recently published scores for 65 nations. These were based on uniform tests given to 15-year-old students. The United States scores tied for 26th place with Hungary by averaging 496. There were 21 nations that scored 500 or better, 33 nations that scored in the 400s, and 11 nations that scored in the 300s. Some may be glad that we are slightly better than average; . . . . but I beg to differ.
The recent extension of what the left refers to as "Tax breaks for the rich" is in fact a simple continuation of the tax rates that were instituted during the George W. Bush administration; with minor adjustments in very limited areas. To put it bluntly; this is putting the cart before the horse and it is only a minor fragment of steering the United States of America in the right direction. Let's all sit down and look at the undisputed, irrefutable, undeniable facts that no mass of distorted politicking can ever change:
I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Governor Sarah Palin on November 23 at Barnes & Noble in Phoenix. I gave her a signed copy of my book and she allowed me the honor of posing for a photo with her; a copy of which is now posted on my Facebook page. I sincerely express my thanks for her allowing me that privilege and for her accepting my gift. I hope that she reads it, appreciates it's content, and uses it as a minor authority for her service to our nation.
President William Jefferson Clinton; during questioning concerning alleged sexual relations with Monica Lewinsky asked for a very clear definition of the term "sexual relations." The judge ordered that the definition be provided and the questioning went on. President Clinton then questioned the precise use of the word "is" and went on to deny any sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky. He was impeached by the House but escaped conviction in the Senate. He was nevertheless disbarred from the practice of law based on perjurious testimony before the grand jury.
In 1928 Herbert Hoover ran for President of the United States with the campaign slogan "A chicken in every pot. A car in every garage." That may have been all that many voters knew about the man. The only methods for mass communication were newspapers and radio and not everyone could afford either.
Alright already! You've heard and seen the quote a number of times and I hope this is the last. Juan Williams was conversing with Bill O'Reilly and said: "...when I get on a plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they're identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous."
