I was walking my dog this morning and had the pleasure of running into a member of the Arizona State Congress. We discussed many of the issues addressed in my book and; needless to say, he is very well versed in each of these critical areas.
Humility is a virtue. When I am in court and people appear before me for their traffic arraignments, begging for mercy I do what I can for them. When they deny any wrongdoing and argue with whoever they can; mostly me, I am stuck with a strict application of the rules.
Thank goodness the Health Care Reform Bill is now law! We can all rest assured everyone in America is now fully covered by universal health care . . . What’s that? The Health Care Reform Bill exempts members of Congress from coverage? That’s funny; why would they want to be left out of this terrific coverage that took well over 2000 pages of their time and effort to draft?
I really believe that the United States enjoys the finest health care system in the world. Every person can get full coverage. More importantly, every employer can get group coverage for every employee at a fraction of the current costs. Unfortunately, our current system makes health care insurance unaffordable for many Americans. But our system can be changed to accommodate almost everyone without a universal government plan.
Why should I have “permission” to speak to you on topics of national concern? What makes me qualified to speak to you as an “expert”?
