There are no words that can express our grief following the tragedy in Tucson on Saturday morning. Even if there were things we could say; we couldn't say them often enough or loudly enough to make a difference. I ask only one thing: please pray for Christina-Taylor Green's family. I don't care if you are Christian, Jewish, Atheist, or of any other religious faith; the Lord that I know will hear you, and perhaps in some way he will console the grieving family. Please pray also for Gabe Zimmerman's family, John Roll's family, Dorothy Murray's family, Darwin Stoddard's family, and Phyllis Scheck's family. It will not cost you a dime and our Heavenly Father sometimes has the habit of being more responsive when more people ask. If it is at all possible; shout your prayers at the top of your lungs.
Please pray for Gabrielle Giffords. She is facing many incredible challenges and she cannot face them alone. She needs to survive, and then she needs to recover. She needs to get back in her seat on the House floor. I know from personal experience that recovery from a brain injury depends on overcoming a long list of barriers. Every neuro-surgeon will tell you that her recovery is based almost entirely on her. That being the case; I think that the odds are in her favor, but we increase those odds with prayer.
